Sample Schedule

Our camp is 5 days long for 3 hours each day. The first 4 days consist of instrument exploration. 2 instruments tried out per day, 8 instruments tried out in total! The 5th day of our camp is when campers have the opportunity to try instruments a second time to really get a sense of the ones they want to pursue in the future. At the end of each week, there will be a performance for parents to see what kids have learned throughout the week! Here's an example of what a typical camp day would look like! (We used our 9am-12pm session as an example)

8:55 - 9:00

9:00 - 9:15

Group Talk

We will do announcements then separate into groups.

9:15 - 10:15

Instrument Block 1

In a small group setting (5 kids, 1 counselor), we will start to make preliminary sounds on the 1st instrument, then move into learning how to play simple tunes to further exploration.

Break 10:15 - 10:45

(Includes fun games and snack time!)

10:45 - 11:45

Instrument Block 2

Same as instrument block 1, but with a different instrument.

11:45 - 12:00

We will gather in a big group again and reflect on the instruments played that day. (Kids will fill out a form to remember and rate the instruments they tried out that day.)
